At the height of Covid, we decided to resurface our fireplace. At first, we thought we could do it ourselves but quickly realized that wasn’t a good idea! So I went online and found JB General Contracting. Jeff (the one and only JB) came and did a walk-through (mask and all!) of the project. During the meeting, we started talking about custom built-ins in our front living room, sketched out a couple ideas and waited for the estimates. We approved Jeff’s estimate and scheduled both projects. Jeff and his team of Austin and Jay exceeded our expectations with both. Over the next few months, we started thinking about what we could do next!
Our next “project” was pretty big - remodel a bathroom, create a master bedroom feature wall, build a new office cabinet and install new stair railings. What Jeff and his team did was nothing short of AMAZING!
First, our master bedroom. Like most parents, we did everything in the house for our kids. It was time for us to change that! I knew what I wanted for the design, marked it out with masking tape, and Jeff, Austin, and Jay literally took it and created a magazine-worthy oasis. Custom-built floating nightstands, the architectural dimension on a feature wall, reimagined trey ceiling, and replaced “builder” doors to our master bathroom.
Next, they tackled our girls’ bathroom. It’s an incredibly cramped space. I knew the look I wanted. Together, Jeff and I picked out the materials and they got to work. Installed a pocket door, new flooring, deep jacuzzi tub, beautiful white subway tile surround with dark black grout. It’s a work of art!
With Covid, I work from home full-time and am on video all day. So I needed to up my game with my background. Jay built a beautiful wall cabinet in my new favorite color Sherwin Williams black magic. The reaction I continue to get from my colleagues on video is over the top!
Finally, I had a look in my mind for our staircase. It’s the first thing you see when you walk into our house - and it had to be dramatic. We struggled to find materials that were not thousands of dollars! I’d almost given up until Jeff came back one day and said he’d found a local supplier. That’s the thing about Jeff, he cares so much about his customers, that he keeps digging and finds a solution. He exceeded what I had in mind!!
I’m already dreaming of the next project (or two) starting with all new interior doors painted in that black magic as well as our master bathroom remodel. I can’t recommend or endorse Jeff and his team more.
